Kabale High Court is run by the Resident Judge who is also the Head of Circuit. The High Court is the highest trial court with original unlimited jurisdiction to hear all triable matters. Kabale High Court also hears appeals from the decisions of the lower courts in the two Chief Magisterial areas of Kabale, covering Rubanda, Kabale and Rukiga districts and Kisoro covering the district of Kisoro.
